Students—Help us raise money!

There are lots of ways other kids and teenagers have helped to make a difference. You could inspire your family to make a contribution.

Get your friends, class, school, or a club or group you’re part of to have a fund raiser to help kids who are a lot worse off than you. Use your imagination, or check out the success stories of what other groups have done. Some fund raisers are as simple as adding a dollar to ticket sales for a concert or gathering loose change!

High Schoolers—Plan a Dance Marathon and "Dance 4 Lifesong"

High school groups always need service project ideas and we have created a very simple, easy, fun idea that wil truly change the lives of kids who attend The Lifesong School in Kitwe, Zambia.  This was one of the amazing projects we visited in Africa this past June.  To help them, we have created a fundraising campaign called Dance 4 Lifesong.

Dance 4 Lifesong is part of Kids Caring 4 Kids' campaign this year to mobilize and inspire high schools from across the country to pledge to raise $5,000 through their own Dance 4 Lifesong dance marathon. The school supports over 300 orphaned and vulnerable children with a quality education, healthy meals,and so much more.

The idea is simple: rally 100 dancers to get down on the dance floor for five hours to create change. Each participant is required to raise $50 for the event through finding 5 sponsors to support the dancer with $10 each (or raise the $50 any way you want).

We’ve made it easy for you to engage your friends, family, school, or church group to get involved. Our “i care 2” kit is a great resource, packed with inspiration and resources to help you energize a group you are part of to be "kids caring 4 kids" in Africa. Check it out. Then email us if you’d like us to send you a free kit so you can help plan and carry out your own fund raiser or service project.  A number of online resources are available, including print-ready flyers and PR helps, to save you time and give you a quick start.

Make a Contribution

The money you send allows us to send grants (big checks) to our partners who are doing life-impacting things to bring smiles, hope, and a chance at a better future for vulnerable kids— children growing up in a continent with tons of kids caring for each other due to the AIDS pandemic.
