Hi, I'm Kate and thank you so much 4 coming to my page! I am a 6th grader at St. Pet's in Glen Ellyn, IL . I'm so excited, and I hope you feel the urge to help someone in need, just like I feel! You don't have to give a lot to make a big difference, because a little can make a huge difference in someone's life! When I met Kendall and talked about all the service projects she was doing, the one that caught my attention the most was how they are rescuing child slaves in Ghana. I mean, can you imagine being abandoned by your parents and then having to work as a slave at the littlest age of 3! Because I couldn't! Service is probably one of the best things to do, but it's not just one of those things you do in your spare time, and it's not just all about money, its about you doing it because you want to and you put thought and care into whatever you are doing. When Kendall Ciesimier came to our school to talk about service, I really wanted to do something, but I didn't know what! So I thought i would make a donation page to try to help a little! Then, in school we watched some videos including the Kids caring 4 Kids i Care 2 Kit Video, and Paper Clips. I know i'm only 12, but I always like to tell myself that it's not how old you are, or not how much money you have, it's the feeling that tells you service is just the right thing to do! I really hope you try to help in some way and are inspired by Kendall as much as I am!
