Giving Hope in Kenya
With your help, Kids Caring 4 Kids has given over $60,000 to build the new Hope for Life Center in Kenya. This project was done in connection with Kendall's local church, Wheaton Bible Church in suburban Chicago.
Hope for Life was started by an amazing Kenyan woman named Josephine Kiarii. She quit her job as a government official and formed this organization to reach out to more than 100 kids in the community orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
Hope for Life is not an orphanage. Rather, these children live in homes with relatives and caring families who have taken them in. But they needed a community center or “hub” to come to where they could receive daily services: meals, education help, vocational training, support, and more.
The funds sent by KC4K enabled Hope for Life to build this new community center, which now delivers daily meals, education, and hope to over 125 orphans every day. We’ve also provided school uniforms, shoes, meals, and textbooks for these needy children. We are excited that we have frequent feedback about the impact we are having in the lives of many children helped through HFL Kenya.
